Miss Scott has been granted Leave of Absence for 6 months to go on her big OE!! We hope you have a great time. The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Washington as her replacement. He will teaching .5 in the Junior Room for terms 3 and 4 until Miss Scotts return in 2009. The Senior Room...

*At 9.00 the children start off the day with free choice writing where they write creative stories, recounts or journal entries.
*For the maths the children are split into 3 groups after practising the basic facts or times tables.
*Reading and writing are on the group programme together, in this hour we work on the writing topic and children continue with that while other groups read. Children are encouraged to suggest share and take suggestions from their classmates and teacher.
*Chunk Check Cheer is a spelling program that promotes better word identification, each week we concentrate on a different 'chunk' and play games incorporating the weeks spelling words.
*We also have topics in Technology, Road Sense, drama and dance which run at different times throughout the school year.
