Dear Parents,

We have had one parent offer to help on camp so far with the overnight stay.  Thanks Nick McKain, we would love to have you join us. This will entail you arriving after dinner, (as we are having KFC in Rolleston prior), at about 8 pm, and joining us for supper and some camp activities before an overnight sleep in the tent. In the morning we will all have breakfast together. Just a note, we do not have showering facilities yet.  If there is another person keen, let Jude or Angela know soon as we do need to make sure all people staying are police vetted.

Fairton Home and School have let us know that their successful barbecue at Mitre 10 held in the weekend has managed to raise $65 per child for school camp.  This will cover the cost children were going to be charged for activities and KFC. Thanks to everyone who helped with this. The school will be contributing funds for the hire of the van, petrol, extra staffing, food and other miscellaneous camp items. So this means that this year camp is covered for your child / children, and there will be nothing extra for you to pay.  We will ask you to provide a tin of yummy baking for our supper, morning and afternoon teas.

This year, not having to pay anything is a one off, and we will need to do a variety of fund-raisers next year for our 2 day camp, and many more for our 3 day camp the following year at a camp venue (such as Living Springs). 

Camp lists and other information will keep coming out from now on.  A permission slip will go home this week.

We have some wonderful news to share with you all! Our entry in the Mid Canterbury Hammers Supporters video competition was selected as a winner!

As part of our prize, we have won a signed rugby jersey. In addition, there is an exciting opportunity for any children attending tomorrow’s game:

• Guard of Honor: Children attending the game tomorrow can participate in the guard of honor to welcome the team onto the field.
• Special Seating: There will also be a designated special spot for them to sit and watch the match together.

If your child is attending tomorrow's game and would like to be part of the guard of honor and sit in the special seating area, please let us know so we can coordinate details.

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome back to Term 4! We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing break with your families.

We are kicking off the term with an exciting event: Athletics Day is happening this Thursday 15th October at Netherby School.

A copy of the Athletics Day programme is coming home with your child today, and I have also attached a digital copy to this email for your convenience.

Event Details:

• Morning Drop-off: Please drop your child off directly at Netherby School by 8:50 AM.
• Afternoon Pick-up: Children can be picked up from Netherby School starting at 2:15 PM.
• Transport Requests: If your child requires transport to and/or from the event, please contact the school office as soon as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements.
• Postponement Date: If the weather requires us to postpone, our backup date for Athletics Day will be Tuesday, 20th October.
